Transmission System Design Engineer

Would you like to develop future engines and transmissions? We are looking for experienced Transmission Design Engineers. AVL Scandinavia PTE has approx 190 employees based in Haninge, Södertälje and Gothenburg. As an engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers. You will be working at our Techcenters in Södertälje and Haninge or as Resident Engineer at customers in Sweden or elsewhere in the world.

Your Responsibilities:
Develop transmission hardware concepts on system level as well as design on detail level.
Lead and participate in development of strategies regarding product development of transmission technologies.
Perform analyses of transmission technologies in the market.
Foster the area System Design to develop the specialty and spread the knowledge within AVL.
Ensure that customer expectations regarding System Design are fulfilled in the transmission design.

Your Profile:
Excellent analytical capability.
Deep knowledge of machine elements.
Knowledge in clutches and hydraulics.
Long experience from product development of transmissions.
Knowledge in present and future heavy duty and light duty transmission technologies
Knowledge in hybrid systems and/or electric machines is an advantage.
Good knowledge in 3D CAD modeling. Catia V5 knowledge is an advantage.
Good knowledge in manufacturing processes used for transmission production.
Very good social and communication skills in Swedish and English
Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can lead the work forward.
Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty.
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
