Transport & Services Area North Europe Älmhult
In your assignment as Business Developer, you will be responsible to develop & negotiate agreements with external business partners to secure transport capacity and a positive service-, availability-, price- & cost-development within your geographical area of responsibility. You will also be ultimate responsible for all business discussions with a number of carriers.
Your main focus will be:
- Responsible for the total business with a number of service providers.
- Continuously develop the service providers to secure long term capacity needs and customer availability
- Responsible for minimizing the prices and contributing to lower cost for a number of service providers.
- Increase and secure the performance level, fulfilling the IKEA demands.
- Establish and secure the fulfillment of the transport agreement/contract
- Increase the share of low emission transport modes
- Business responsible for pre defined market(s)
- Secure co-operation with Supply Partners to optimize results
- Take the role as IKEA ambassador when communicating with external parties.
Is this the right challenge for you?
We are looking for you with experience from working with business development. Experience from other parts of the supply chain like Retail or Trading we see as very valuable as well as a good knowledge and understanding of the transport industry. You will work in an international environment and must be fluent in English, both spoken and written. You have a University degree in Logistics or Economics or equivalent work experience. We want you to be business minded and cost conscious and used to negotiating with clients. You have good knowledge of the Supply Chain.
We place emphasis on your personal skills; to be successful in the role it is very important that your communicating and social skills are excellent. You also have the ability to create and develop business relations.
