IKEA Distribution Services North Europe is a part of IKEA´s Supply Chain and is responsible for the distribution of the IKEA range to customers and stores in Northern Europe. We have five distribution centers located in United Kingdom (Doncaster), Sweden (Älmhult and Torsvik), Poland (Jarosty) and Russia (Esipovo). In Torsvik and Peterborough we also have customer distribution centers (CDC) which deliver IKEA products directly to the customers in the Nordic countries, UK and Ireland.
Transport & Services North Europe is responsible for all IKEA transports starting in the UK,IE the Nordic countries, the Baltic states, Poland, Russia, the Ukraine and Belarus to all IKEA destinations around the world.

Transport Planner
Location: Transport Area North Europe, Älmhult


We are looking for temporary support in our transport planning team. As a transport planner you will work in close cooperation with our carriers and other players in the Supply Chain to find the optimal transport solution.

Your main focus will be:
- to execute transport bookings
- to monitor the shipments from the start to the receiver
- to ensure that the transport bookings are in accordance with IKEA?s routines and working methods
- to investigate and solve claim issues
- to contribute to develop the transport set-ups

We are looking for you who are educated/ experienced in logistics/supply chain. We believe that you are service-minded with excellent communication skills and you work in a structured way. You will work in an international environment and need to be fluent in English both written and verbal. Basic knowledge in Swedish is required. We believe you have plenty of energy and curiosity to learn. You are also sharing our values and want to take responsibility for making these values a living reality in our everyday life.
