About the job

We at Jefferson Wells are now looking for a Transport Planner to our client, a large automotive company in Gothenburg. You will be part of the Trading & Overseas department.

In this role you will be the link between carriers, goods terminal and goods receiver, you will secure the delivery of goods to correct location at the correct time and be a central point of contact for handling daily demands of the receiver.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

* Secure and book capacity on ocean vessels or road trailers
* Issue and/or manage transport documents
* Update systems with relevant data
* Identify and act on deviations in the material supply
* Analyze, mitigate, and inform receivers of impact to the material supply
* Organize express transport when applicable
* Act as a central point of contact to handle all operational issues, reported deviations and receiver requests
* Host and/or participate in operation performance follow up meetings with receivers
* Represent the department in operational meetings and critical carrier meetings when applicable
* Identify and eliminate waste in our processes (continuous improvement)

Who are we looking for?

The person we are looking for is structured, pay attention to details and have a proactive-oriented mindset. You are good at collaborate with others and take initiatives in your work. Other that your personal assets you need to meet the following qualifications

Qualifications

* Highly literate in Office 365 and MS Excel
* Have Sea Shipping and/or Forwarding experience
* Experience in transport document administration
* Knowledge in VPS and lean principles
* Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken

Experience in Automotive industry is highly appreciated.
