About the role
In the role as Transport & Supply Chain Coordinator your main focus will be on freight procurement, implementation and follow up - both strategically and day to day operations.
Together with manager, you will strengthen, follow up and improve the performances from transport suppliers as well as finding unexplored areas of improvement.
Other tasks:
- Assist and support operational activities
- Gather and analyses data, prepare reports and presentations in order to report transportation performance
- Participate and support in projects managed by Global Logistics
- Administrate procurement and transport booking systems
- Attest and control supplier invoices
The position is fixed term for 1 year with the possibility for a prolongation. You will be located at our office in Umeå and have the possibility to work 2 days/week from home.
Your profile
A University degree (BSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or similar is required. It is meritorious if you have experience from logistics and have worked in an international environment. You have strong analytical skills and good MS Office skills, especially Excel. Experience in ERP Systems is meritorious.
We are looking for someone who is structured, and to succeed in this role it is important to be a team player and see opportunities rather than problems. Since you in this role will collaborate with different stake holders both internal and external, it is important that you have good communication skills. As we operate globally you must be able to communicate fluent in English both in speech and in writing.
