HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

For this position you have the opportunity to work in Västerås or Ludvika.
Your responsibilities
As a Manager for Transport, Trade and Logistics, you will have approximately 10 direct reporting, divided by Transport & Logistics Specialist, Transport & Logistics Planners and Trade & Logistics Specialist.
You will be part of the global SCM management team reporting directly to the Head of HVDC SCM organization.
Support Transport and Logistics team to develop, plan and implement Transport and Logistics strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality and delivery.
During project execution you will help to secure that shipment plans are fulfilled and with high quality.
The Manager is also responsible that HVDC are compliant with current export control and sanctions, as well as customs compliance requirements.
Ensure that product classifications teams are created and implemented.
Your background
You have great experience in Transport, Trade and Logistics and Supply Chain with a proven leadership experience and you like to work with and develop people.
You are familiar to work in a large project environment close to the customer and in a multicultural and challenging global business environment.
Excellent written and spoken English is required, with proven skills in communication and PowerPoint.
You are good at building extensive networks internally as well as externally.
You are described as energetic, structured and self-confident person who can handle both ups and downs and manage problems that may occur.
