As a Transport & Trade Specialist, you will supervise and develop forwarders performances in compliance with regulations, company’s guidelines and procedures.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Operation Manager, you will ensure goods are received and shipped whilst meeting quality, legal and costs parameters. You will also develop, maintain and improve transport/documentation processes to optimize outbound and/or inbound processes and delivery of goods to external and internal clients.


Your responsibilities
Support the selection process of forwarders and customs brokers. Collaborate with the warehouse team or 3PL (third-party logistics provider) to verify that all relevant processes for unloading/loading are in place, controlled and documented. Help to ensure continuous review and improvement. Create if needed policies or procedures for logistics activities and their compliance.
Work closely with transport service providers and customs brokers to assure efficient and effective execution of processes, assists in obtaining necessary transport permits and codes and prepares proper transportation paperwork and import / export documentation.
Verify the accuracy of billing and documentation issued by the forwarders (KPIs, costs, etc.) and prepares transportation performances reporting.
Supervise forwarders daily performance and cost, acting to ensure respect of associated KPIs. Control and monitor system interfaces with forwarders and supervise all transportation related plans and processes.
Responsible for issues resolutions with the forwarders including service quality, claims (forwarder) etc. Ensures that the import, inbound, outbound and export documentation is properly managed and resolves operational issues.



Your background
Degree with at least 3-4 years experience in logistics/transportation area, preferably in a similar industry.
Logistics experience and knowledge in import/export procedure for non-EU will be preferred.
Robust knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of business analytics and reporting would be an added advantage.
Attention to details with strong focus on lean processes.
Ability to identify root causes of errors and appropriate corrective actions.
Customer service oriented with good spoken and written skill in English (knowledge in Swedish is an advantage). Ability to take challenges and pressure.
