The responsibility of the CTO Office is to create synergies across the TRATON brands in order to benefit our end customers as well as TRATON Group. This by coordinating the cross-brand work and collaboration within Technology Strategy & Planning, Alliance Management, Purchasing, Process & Methods and Production Network Strategy. The office consists of experienced colleagues with various backgrounds, mainly from MAN and Scania, with daily connections to TRATON’s brands.
The team “Electrics and Software” is working to create a path to aligned architectures with common interfaces for the Group. The team is also developing Technology Road Maps together with the brands in TRATON Group.
The work is performed in a highly international environment, and we are a team of dedicated people from the TRATON Group brands with various backgrounds in the fields of electrical and software engineering. We enjoy solving problems with our cross-functions and the brands in the TRATON Group and always try to find the best solutions for the Group. We strive for a climate where opinions and knowledge is openly shared within and between teams and we welcome new ideas in order to create dynamic synergies.

THE JOB
• Coordinate and drive the work towards aligned Electric and Software (E/S) Architectures and the Modularization principles of the Group
• Contribute to the initiation of new E/S architecture activities in the interest of the Group
• Ensure a common Group view on architecture requirements and guiding principles
• Actively work with architecture and technical roadmaps within the E/S development area
• Daily contact with managers and engineers within the group; facilitating and managing the decision process
• Create a good spirit of cooperation in the Group
YOUR SKILLS
We believe that you have a degree of higher education in the field of engineering - e.g., within Electrical Engineering, System Development, Software Engineering or the equivalent. Managerial or other leadership experience (e.g., project lead) from the area of research and development is an advantage. A capability to independently drive issues, moderate between parties and search for and find solutions. To be successful in the role you have good interpersonal- as well as communication skills. You are fluent in written and spoken English. The role includes travels to our group brands and an openness to this is encouraged.
