What about the job?
The role as a Travel Management Specialist is a job with many points of contact. The main areas of responsibilities are operational services within business travel, communication and development with our suppliers, internal- and external stakeholders. In this position, you’re responsible for the management and development of our overall travel processes and ways of working within the travel business within all Sandvik and our business areas – making sure that we follow established travel policies, procedures, and audit work. On a local level you support with develop frame agreements with our suppliers, to secure the best-in-class travel solution.
You’re a key person in our team and work closely together with your colleagues, identifying operational efficiency, safe solutions and business impact within Travel Management. With your competence, you contribute to our development and progress regarding our work of continuous improvements by driving and participating in both internal and external forums and projects to help us reach set goals. Your daily work also consists of administration tasks and ensuring correct information on the communication platforms and travel applications. Being a part of the global medical and safety team as our travel tracker, you and the team members ensure that our safety processes is followed and act accordingly in case of incidents.
The location for this position is either in Sandviken or Stockholm and some travel may occur.
Who you are?
We believe you have a solid background within business travel management and similar assignments or other relevant post-secondary education. You have experience from business development. Previous work with continuous improvements is something we consider necessary to be successful in this role, and you’re familiar with statistics, finance and KPIs within business travel. Working locally in a global company requires you to communicate fluently in Swedish and English both written and spoken.
You’re a true team player who believes that the best solutions come from working together and sharing best practices. Development and continuous improvements are something that you enjoy working with and you truly see the value of. You’re a positive, service minded, flexible and goal-oriented person, with a good structure and an understanding of the dynamic in business travel.
