ScanMarine is a marine industry contracting company that undertakes projects ranging from minor repairs and renovations of ship interiors to complete interior packages for the construction of passenger and cruise ships. As an initial consultant at Emploid, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills with excellent prospects of being permanently hired by ScanMarine after completing the assignment.
About the Role
In the role of Traveling Site Supervisor at ScanMarine, you will be involved in projects worldwide, both in new construction and renovation projects. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the installation of interiors follows both the schedule and budget. In close dialogue with subcontractors, craftsmen, project managers, and clients on board the ships, you will plan and oversee the work. The role includes:
- Site supervisory responsibility for subcontractors and craftsmen on board ships
- Ensuring that budget and schedule are followed
- Participation in inspections
- Ongoing dialogue and collaboration with project managers and clients
- Some administrative work
The position involves extensive travel both within and outside of Sweden. Therefore, you need to be prepared to travel at short notice.
About You
We are looking for someone eager to take their work on the road, constantly seeking challenges and development. As a person, you have a high threshold for stress and the ability to stay calm even in the most demanding situations. With this ability, you respond to rapid changes with ease and can quickly adapt based on current conditions. You have a strong personal commitment and a willingness to learn and grow in your role, and therefore, have no problem asking that extra question. Since you will be dealing with customers and colleagues from all corners of the world, you have the ability to interact with and handle people where they want to be addressed. In addition, for the position, it is important to have:
- Completed high school education. Post-secondary education is advantageous.
- Previous experience in construction, shipbuilding, electrical, HVAC, or a similar discipline.
- Previous experience in site supervision is strongly advantageous.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Swedish is advantageous.
Other Information:
Start: According to agreement
Location: The main office is in Eslöv. You have the opportunity to work remotely in your role.
Working hours: Full-time position. Regular working hours Monday – Friday. Working hours may vary when you are on projects.
Salary: According to agreement
