We are now looking for a Truck LCA specialist and engineering support

The Platform Sustainability department is a function within GTT with the mission to provide roadmaps, expertise, guidance and support to management and engineering within the area of sustainability and circularity. Additionally, we are supporting GTT with processes and tools to ensure that our products comply with applicable legislation and our ambitions when it comes to sustainability. We also manage projects concerning legal compliance and life cycle management with Volvo Group external collaboration partners. You will be part of an enthusiastic team that believes in doing great things together, not because we have to - but because we want to!


Role description


Within Group Trucks Technology you will be the one driving the implementation of LCA - thinking in product development, giving support, and providing training to engineering in LCA related matters. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring harmonized work with LCA within GTT e.g., how to calculate, what data sources to use etc. Additionally, you will be the main interface/link between Volvo GTT to and consultancy companies in LCA related issues. Ordering and reviewing reports, ensuring efficiency and value for money.


Typical deliveries/responsibilities:
Managing data library for LCA reports/analysis
Provide training
Advisory work and support to engineers
Key account to external LCA providers
Representing Volvo in external LCA and sustainability events and workshops

Who are you?


We believe you have a solid LCA background and ability to interpret and communicate results from LCA studies to the engineering community. You love to build networks and thrive in an international and multi technological environment. You are a structured person skilled in compiling information and presenting to an audience using different formats. You are curious and have a great interest to learn about trucks and GTT way of working. You have a strong drive and passion to contribute to our ambition to create sustainable transport solutions and to shape the world we want to live in.


Required experiences and education:
MSc or PhD degree in a relevant engineering area
Very good experience in LCA related work
Very good networking skills
Excellent communication skills in English
Experience in providing training
