What you will do at Dirac
As a Tuning Field Application Engineer at Dirac, you will analyze, define, and execute automotive audio tunings, using Dirac tools, both in Dirac offices and at customer sites around the world.
You will participate in automotive projects throughout the whole project phase, from presales (evaluating audio system configurations), demonstrations (Proof of Concepts, feasibility studies), planning, execution, and maintenance (in case of support issues). You will be responsible for ensuring to deliver a high quality and on time deliverance, therefore you will work closely with local and remote SW developers and other audio systems engineers to resolve issues/bugs.
Travels to customers occur frequently. Customer oriented and responsive to customer needs, while also protecting the integrity of Dirac products is key to success in this role.
In this role the main areas of responsibility will include, but is not limited to:
• Support presales activities like system configuration evaluations and participate in customer meetings
• Perform automotive audio tunings according to Dirac guidelines on customer projects and demos
• Travel to customers and perform on-site tuning and other support (e.g. China, India, USA, Japan, South Korea and Europe)
• Perform tuning training sessions to partners and customers
• Support improvements of Dirac solutions and report potential issues and work with different departments to help isolate, debug and resolve issues
• Plan and administrate global tuning projects
• Support presales activities like system configuration evaluations and participate in customer meetings
The Tuning Field Application Engineer has great development potential to become an Audio System Engineer, which means a responsibility for creating signal chains, perform training sessions to customers/internal and mentoring fellow colleagues.
Who you are
You are an experienced Sound technician or have a great experience in audio processing. Audio is your thing, so a solid understanding of the audio field (freq, delay, EQ etc.) is self-explanatory. You also like to have the world as your oyster.
• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, Signal Processing or other related field
• Excellent English skills are required to communicate effectively with team members and customers
