USBE, Umeå School of Business is currently expanding and looking for post-doc researchers interested in developing new and interesting research areas within an international research environment.We are therefore appointing: Two (2) Assistant Professors (Forskarassistenter) Join us as a post-doc researcher on sustainability!Application deadline: 2006-05-15 The positions are open for early career researchers with a PhD in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.The positions are filled for three years of which one year can be spent at a leading institution abroad.The applicant should have completed a PhD no more than five (5) years ago in some of the relevant areas mentioned above.A description of the open positions, the research initiative on SI by Mistra and on the research program in Umeå can be found on www.usbe.umu.se/forskning/mistra/ USBE welcomes applications in the following two research areas: Position 1: Sustainable Investment: Company behaviour and Sustainable Development, ref.nr.312-903-06 This research area could focus on how and to what extent sustainable investment achieve real changes in the behaviour of companies and other market actors (such as financial analysts, CSR-analysts and other consultants) leading to tangible changes towards sustainable development.Position 2: Sustainable Investment: Corporate governance and corporate engagement for Sustainable Development, ref.nr.312-904-06 This research area can address the process by which institutional investors and their agents in their corporate engagements seek to improve companies' joint mechanisms of corporate governance (CG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in order to improve financial performance and shareholder value of the firm and ultimately sustainable development.Candidates should have a PhD.The positions are open for qualified researchers with a record of scientific and pedagogical achievements demonstrated.Candidates must be able to work together with other people, as well as work independently.We expect a high level of spoken and written English.Knowledge of the Swedish language is positive, but not considered a requirement when applying for the position.The positions are planned for a period of 3 years, each starting on 2006-08-01.
