Range design leader – Range development

The product range is our identity, hence one of the most important tasks of the Range & Product Design matrix is to enable and ensure that we live up to the IKEA vision - To create a better everyday life for the many people. 

We have a new IKEA direction with many opportunities within our reach and we are continually taking steps to ensure that we are set up for success. Over the next few years, we need to be better than ever, and to achieve this we will strengthen the core of what we do in Core Business range. This role is part of that transformation. In this assignment you will have the opportunity to lead and influence the establishment of the complete IKEA Range and product offer – Our Identity.

We are now looking for two Range Design Leaders

As Range Design Leader in the Range and Product Design Matrix your main assignment is to lead and facilitate range development to happen across businesses, to stretch the complete offer, unleash creativity and support the development of better solutions that strengthens the IKEA product range Identity and set strategic priorities on a short, mid and long term perspective.

In this role you lead the development of creative methods, tools and ways of working with range development. To create preconditions, nurture curiosity, inspire creativity and unleash the entrepreneurship of the many, 

You play a key role in the integration of, consumer, user and life at home experience as a natural part of the range development process. Always leading with an outside in perspective whilst at the same time promoting a strong IKEA Identity.

In close collaboration with relevant partners and stakeholders across the IKEA value chain, you hold together the identification, exploration and execution of common range movements and facilitate the the range community to be interdependent in identifying needs, gaps, overlaps and synergies in plans.

You are a given contributor to the development of strategies and tactics within range and product design and play a key role in holding together the total Range Design Leader community as a collaborative network, securing synergies in common actions, needs and priorities. 

To make a difference in this assignment you enjoy working with and through others and to find new and creative ways to ensure execution. You are a positive, including and curious development partner with a strong “can do” attitude. You are inspired by the IKEA Identity and passionate about bringing that inspiration and energy to others.

You have a strong interest in and ability to formulate yourself both visually and verbally. You are also well organised and hold the ability to manage and overview the overall range offer.

In this role you report to, Range Design Manager Matrix. This position is placed In Älmhult, Sweden.
