Arbetsbeskrivning
Do you want to analyse what gender stereotypes Chalmers promotes, in their internal annd external communication? Maybe you are preparing for a degree project in NLP, data science or machine learning?
In this short 3-month project you will collect official and internal texts from Chalmers and University of Gothenburg (and other places). You will also prepare the texts for automatic analysis using machine learning, language models, classification, etc. The prepared texts can then be used in a research project - perhaps in your own master thesis project?
Information about the project
In the research project "Analysis of gender bias in texts from Chalmers" we will use state of the art natural language processing (NLP) technologies for investigating gender bias in texts produced at Chalmers, University of Gothenburg and other places. I.e., we will investigate whether gender is described or associated with different stereotypical features, formulations and/or descriptions.
More information about the project can be found here: http://www.cse.chalmers.se/~peb/genie-project.html
