Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania’s purpose is to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system, by developing safe, smart and energy-efficient transport solutions that are better for people and the planet.
It is a bold and exciting journey with no finite end. Our innovative spirit and determination are what keep us going until we reach the science-based targets that Scania, as one of the pioneers of the industry, has proudly committed to
In the Vehicle Regulations and Standards section, we create the conditions for Scania's distributors to provide products that meet national and international legal requirements.
As an Engineer in the Type Approval Support team, you act as a link between Scania's distributors around the world and R&D in Södertälje.
The requirements for approving a vehicle are unique to each country and are constantly changing. We, therefore, work with legal requirements monitoring together with our distributors and authorities around the world. The information is then used in R&D to be able to start the development of new products or the introduction of existing products in new markets.
The work takes place in collaboration with accountable design groups within R&D, with the Sales and Marketing functions at Scania, and together with the certification engineers from other groups within Vehicle Regulations and Standards.
Our team is also responsible for the overall coordination of Scania Conformity of Production (COP). This means that we coordinate the authorities' COP audit and also the COP reports to authorities.
