UCG/Radio Support is a consulting company based in Kista in northern Stockholm. Regardless placement you will be employed by UCG, with Swedish salary and benifits.
The Consultant role
As a consultant you may be placed at different customers. UCG will assist with extra training when needed. As a consultant we need you to be flexible and to easily adapt to a new environment.
Education/training
Our roles requires a basic technical education, sometimes university level.
Experience
We require at least 3 years of relevant job experience for all roles, mostly more.
Required experience for this role:
• Experience in embedded software development
• Extensive experience in C/C++ development for embedded systems
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel is preferred
• Ability to deliver SW tests & tools in python and continuously improve CI/CD workflows
• Experience with software design methodologies and latest software quality standards
• Familiarity with micro controllers, System-on-a-Chip and ARM processors
• Experience with agile software development process

Wanted competence:
• Android architecture and tool chain is a plus
• Test Driven Development is a plus
• peripheral handling (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, etc.) is a plus
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and automotive networks, such as CAN or SOME/IP, is a plus
• Awareness of Functional Safety and SPICE processes is a plus


Your Role
• Contribute and deliver a new generation of Android-based infotainment head units
• Work as a member of a globally distributed team designing and developing automotive user experience solutions for leading car manufacturers
• Develop software solutions from initial concept and requirements development through to production implementation and software life cycle support
• Software issue troubleshooting, problem solving, root cause analysis, etc.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, port it to new hardware, or to improve performance and non-functional requirements
