About us
Coffee Stain Northis a small game developer based in Stockholm that belongs to the Coffee Stain family. Since we started in 2013, we have grown to the size of 30 and are now looking for a couple of new friends!
We take pride in making games that we ourselves would like to play, a philosophy that has led us to work on multiple kinds of games in the past, like A Story About My Uncle & the Goat Simulator franchise (click here to see what Goat Enough! is)!

The role
We are looking for an experienced UI/UX artist who wants to join our team and be part of our exciting journey forward!
As our UI/UX artist you will be in charge of designing everything UI-related and creating all needed UI art assets. You will be planning and managing your own work while collaborating with Designers, Art director and UI programmers, so communication and organizational skills are essential.
We need you to be able to adapt to defined art styles (such as for our current project Goat Simulator 3) as well as develop new UI art styles from scratch for future projects.
What you will do
Design layouts and UI elements following usability best-practices and defined art style
Produce UI art assets in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD or similar software
Finetune implemented designs in Unreal 4’s UI tool UMG
Work autonomously and manage your own work
Develop UI art styles for future projects from scratch
Role requirements
Professional background in UI/UX
Solid understanding of usability and excellent visual design skills
Experience planning/managing your own work
Bonus: Professional experience with UI/UX for video games
Bonus: Experience designing UI for multi-platform products (PC, mobile, console)

Practical info
The position is permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week. We have a hybrid setup and offer the possibility of working from home 2 days per week. Our office is newly renovated, and located in Kungsholmen, Fridhemsplan. We have, among other things, a ping-pong table, a big lounge area where we hang out, watch movies, or play games together, and last but not least – a giant goat statue (what more do you need?).
Apart from us, the Coffee Stain group consists of Coffee Stain Studios in Skövde (Sanctum and Satisfactory), Coffee Stain Malmö (working on Goat Simulator 3 mobile, among other things) and Coffee Stain Publishingwho also work with close partners like Iron Gate (Valheim), Ghost Ship Games (Deep Rock Galactic), and Easy Trigger Games (Huntdown) to name a few.
