The Position
Avalanche Studios are currently looking for a UI/UX Designer to work on an unannounced title being developed in Stockholm. We are searching for developers with a background in web design technologies and a fanatical devotion to designing intuitive user experiences.


You will work closely with the Game Design team to design all aspects of the UI/UX based on their needs. As the owner of the UI design and user experience you will help guide the UI Artist’s vision, and ultimately be responsible for building our dynamic and responsive UI in the game. UXAs a UI/UX Designer, you are willing to push the boundaries of UI design, and the ability to consider issues from numerous angles (Design/Art/Code) and take efficient actions. You focus your work on providing the best UX possible, and consider accessibility as a core factor in your work.


Required Qualifications


UI/UX design experience on at least one published PC / console / mobile game
Scripting ability with knowledge in JavaScript or similar languages
Thorough knowledge of flow / function / form and UI progression
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Strong communication skills and a collaborative outlook



Desired Qualifications


Familiarity with Coherent
Experience with wireframing / prototyping tools such as Sketch or Axure
Strong Photoshop skills
UI/UX design qualifications or training
A knowledge of open-world action games

Alongside your project you will be a member of our knowledge based platform Crafts. In the UI Craft, you will meet and develop with other UI developers across projects. You share experiences and knowledge with each other, in order to learn and to be aligned on what makes the best UI and open-world experiences.
