Your impact
As our first UI/UX Designer, you will be a key player in making the GOALS universe fun and accessible for all our players.
As this is a new role for us, you will have the creative freedom to build our user experience and user interface design process from scratch. You will design the UI/UX flow across the entire GOALS universe, including everything from our game, marketplace, and companion apps. With player experience as your top priority, your role will be to design the foundation of HOW our players interact with UI features in-game and out-of-game.
You will have the trust and mandate to drive the UI/UX agenda, but you will not be left alone. We will give you all the support that you need to succeed. You will collaborate in feature teams with people from different crafts, iterating your designs and watching them come alive in our game. And as we are developing GOALS together with our fantastic community, you will also be able to get community feedback along the way.
We are developing GOALS for everyone, which calls for many interesting opportunities from both a UI and UX perspective. In your role, you will tackle questions such as:
- What makes a good UX flow for new players compared to casual- and professional players?
- How can we customize the UI for different player groups while maintaining a high level of unity?
- How can we ensure that the game is truly esports ready? How do we meet the UI/UX needs of large audiences watching streamed matches?
Focus Areas
- Advocate for UI/UX Design in our studio by initiating and driving this work
- Design the UX flow to make it streamlined across the GOALS universe (game, marketplace, etc.)
- Design clickable UI prototypes for our modules and widgets
- Work in an iterative design process together with Tech, Design, Art, and our community
Who you are
We’re creating a game for everyone, and our studio should always represent that with a diverse team.
We're looking for you who enjoy working with a broad scope of both UI and UX Design. You have probably worked on more than one digital product, and are comfortable tackling numerous angles of design including several different UI components and UX flows.
You prefer working in an iterative design process together with people from different crafts. You enjoy discussing UI/UX with others and reaching out to the right people to get things done. Furthermore, you have the ability to grasp technical limitations and take them into account in the design process.
On paper, we believe that you have
- 5+ years of experience working with either UI or UX design, with at least 3 years of UX Design
- Industry experience from gaming, app development, or e-commerce. Game industry experience is meritorious.
- Skilled in designing UX flows for various scenarios
- Skilled in creating clickable prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, UMG UI Designer, or similar
- A good understanding of the player experience and game logic, either from gaming or from working in the gaming industry.

About the Employment
The position is permanent, starting with 6 months of probationary employment. You can work from our Stockholm office, fully remote or hybrid. It is important that you are able to communicate unhindered in verbal/written English and that you can work in a timezone close to Stockholm (CET 0-3 hours).
For this position we do not offer relocation assistance.
