We at Outokumpu in Avesta are searching for a forward-thinking Maintenance Manager to lead our Cold Rolling Mill into higher levels of reliability, availability, and overall functioning. If you are interested in technology and stainless steel – We welcome your application today!

In this role, you will have over-arching responsibility for our Cold Rolling Mill’s Maintenance department. You will guide your team of 5 technicians and 2 preventative maintenance managers whose main aims are to develop machine availability within your department. You will ensure that your team has the necessary competencies to fulfill their duties in the near term, but also to improve our methods of working, capacity, and results for the long term. As Maintenance Manager, you will be challenged to answer the questions “How to prevent acute breakdowns?” and “What new technology can be implemented to raise our standards?”.
This role includes an exciting degree of influence where you can truly be a part of shaping the future of the stainless-steel industry and Outokumpu as the world leader of stainless steel.
Your role
Develop organization and working methods within the Cold Rolling Maintenance department and Avesta Works at large
Utilize and grow your personnel’s competencies
Initiate and drive improvement work
Follow up the business's performance and be responsible for achieving the department's KPIs
Budget responsibility
Be an active member of Avesta Works’ Management Team


Who are you?

Further qualifications:
University degree in engineering or other education/experience that we deem equivalent
You’ve previously managed a team in relevant industries such as maintenance, heavy manufacturing, or similar
Good IT and systems knowledge
Confident user of MS Office
Fully fluent in Swedish and English language
Experience with change management e.g. Lean/Six Sigma is highly meriting
