Who we are?
Uniper Renewables is responsible for the development of the solar-PV and wind-onshore business of Uniper, predominantly in Europe. The renewables business is one of the most important pillars of our strategic ambition. Our aim is to deliver more than 1 GW growth p.a. by 2025. The geographical set-up and our existing capabilities allow us to enhance the solar and wind of Uniper in all selected geographies.
Sweden is one of our core growth areas and we have a unique opportunity for a passionate, innovative and experienced Senior Project Development Manager Solar and Wind to join our growing Swedish team and to help shape and accelerate our journey to delivering our goals.
What will you work with
As our Senior Project Development Manager Solar and Wind you will:
• Originate Greenfield solar and/or Wind projects and manage the entire project development cycle from identifying and securing land until getting all licenses and permits required to build and operates the projects.
• Originate Co-Development partnerships to acquire utility scale solar projects in Sweden
• Cover the full development cycle from origination to RTB or FC stage
• Manage external developers and/or services providers.
• Manage business relationships with land owners, permitting authorities, grid operators, regulators, off takers and other relevant stakeholders
• Liaise closely with existing Uniper business teams (asset teams, trading / Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), finance, others) and enabling functions
• Build strong relationships with the development team, consisting of developers, engineers, project-, contract- and offtake managers as well as a network of external development partners
• Be part of a high-performance team and contribution to the establishment of an entrepreneurial, rewarding and fun work environment
• Takeover of all other arising activities of the area, as required and by arrangement
• Report to the Head of Solar Development
Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.
Uniper is positive to a flexible approach around remote working based on the conditions of the business and the individual employee.
Who we are seeking
To succeed in this role we believe that you have a relevant university degree in electrical engineering, engineering or comparable studies in engineering, business administration, economics, law or comparable studies. You also have several (3-5) years of work experience in and a proven track record of utility Solar and /or Wind project development in Sweden. You are fluent in English and Swedish, other languages will be a plus. You also have a profound understanding of relevant market dynamics.
