The position as Unit Accounting Responsible is located in one of the general accounting teams at Scania Industrial Operations Accounting Services. The main objective of the corporate function Industrial Operations Accounting Services is to enable efficient financial processes by providing relevant and qualitative accounting and reporting services.
Are you the Unit Accounting Responsible we are looking for?
The Industrial Operations Accounting Services is looking for an experienced accountant to serve as Unit Accounting Responsible of one of the units within the team responsible for the accounting and reporting of Purchasing, Research & Development and Sales & Marketing.
Unit Accounting Responsible everyday jobs include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures including reporting of financial statements. The position also includes having an active role in the development of the accounting and reporting area through projects and other improvement groups where converting needs to clear goals and deliveries are important.
A successful Unit Accounting Responsible will both have analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles. A relevant education and some years of hands-on experience as well as good Microsoft Excel skills are required. Experience with digital solutions in the accounting area is favourable. A suitable candidate for the position should be responsible, well organized and a great team player who actively contributes to the group in order to complete tasks, meet goals or manage projects.
Also, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills are important in order to meet the customer service focus. The position allows a wide network of contacts including other accounting colleagues, but also financial controllers and other stakeholders in the organisation. This fact will require fluent communication in both Swedish and English, but also offer a stimulating and challenging work in a dynamic work environment.
