The lnstitute of Health and Care Sciences is at the forefront both nationally and internationally concerning person-centred care. Person-centred care is present in education, research as well as innovation. The lnstitute is organised according to academic areas made up by interdisciplinary profiles: Care in long-term conditions; The Life Context and Health Promotion; Diagnostics, Acute and Critical Care and Learning and Leadership for Health Care Professionals. The purpose of having academic areas is to integrate the lnstitute's joint competence in order to promote quality in education, research and collaboration.
The lnstitute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for nurses, radiographers, midwives and specialist nurses. The basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead to a professional degree as well as a bachelor's degree. The training of midwives and the different courses for specialist nurses lead to a professional registration in combination with a master's degree. All professional programmes lead to a professional registration, Moreover, the freestanding courses are offered at an advanced level, offering the possibility to continue studying towards a master's degree in one of the lnstitute's main subjects; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The lnstitute also offers the possibility to study for a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

In the field of Caring Sciences, the knowledge about health and having a good life despite the presence of disease or disability is developed along with the knowledge about a dignified and peaceful passing. In Caring Sciences, it is not illness or disability perse that is the focus, but rather people's experiences, interpretations and reactions to illness.
Job assignments
The position is based at the Clinical Training Centre (KTC) at the Sahlgrenska Academy, which is part of the Section for Learning and Leadership for Health Care Professionals.
As a university lecturer at the lnstitute of Health and Care Sciences, we expect you to work actively towards achieving the lnstitute's goals and business plan and that you participate in planned joint meetings and activities at the lnstitute and within the faculty.
The activities include to plan, teach, perform summative assessments, evaluate clinical skills, perform simulation based teaching and interprofessional learning in a pedagogically structured manner. Due to the clinical nature of the tuition, some of the activities may be performed within a health care organisation in order to give the employee an opportun ity to stay updated regarding clinical elements of the education. The candidate may also be expected to teach and supervise students on behalf of the section Learning and leadership on a first and second cycle level for nurses and within other education programmes at the Sahlgrenska Academy. The activities are performed in close collaboration with teachers, supervisors who are actively working in health care organisations, teaching assistants and other statt at the KTC. Administrative duties related to the educational activities are included. Continuous pedagogical development of the education is also expected.
Further, you will be expected to actively work towards achieving the lnstitute's goals and business plan which includes to actively contribute to the development of the academic environment in the section. The employee is further expected to participate in planned common meetings and activities at the lnstitute.
Eligibility
Second cycle studies in Nursing or Care Pedagogics with at least a Degree of Master.
Registered nurse. Specialist nurse in a relevant field in community based healthcare.
Current clinical competence and/or a current involvement in the health care sector.

Employment
Permanent post (including a probationary period), full time 100 % including a colloboration agreement of 20%, located at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences.
