Swedish and foreign universities, and with industry.
Description of the position:
The main duties will be research directed towards the European consolidation in Nuclear Physics, in the recently started FAIR project, "Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research", in
Darmstadt, Germany, especially participation in the division's undertakings in NUSTAR, "Nuclear Structure, Astrophysics and Reactions", a subproject of FAIR.In the long term, the focus of experimental nuclear physics at the division will be divided between two main activities, namely research using radioactive ion beams at FAIR/NUSTAR and detector and system development within a common department/faculty instrumentation group. The appointee must be very active in applying for external funding since the position is to a large extent externally funded, as is now common at the department. The work also includes teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level, supervising PhD students, as well as administrative duties.Qualifications
