The lnstitute of health and care sciences is a national and international leader in person-centered care, which permeates education, research and innovation. The department is organized in sections in the shape of academic environments which consist ofinterdisciplinary profile areas: Care for long-term conditions; Life contexts and health promoting care; Diagnosis and care in acute and critical conditions and Learning and leadership for health professions. The department's administrative staff is organized in an administrative unit. In the academic environments, competence is integrated in order to promote quality in both education, research and collaboration.
The department conducts professional training for nurses, radiology nurses, midwives and specialist nurses. The undergraduate education program mes for nurses and radiology nurses lead to both a professional licence and a bachelor's degree The midwifery program and the specialist nursing program with different specializations lead to vocational degrees and licences as well as a master's degree.
In addition, commissioned training and single subject courses are given at advanced level, which provides the opportunity for further studies leading to a master's degree in one of the department's main subjects: nursing, radiography and care pedagogy. The department also conducts education at doctoral level in health and care sciences.

Reproductive and Perinatal Health
Subject area description
The main area of reproductive and perinatal health is based on a humanistic vantage point and generates knowledge about human reproduction and its processes. This includes knowledge about sexuality, fertility, abortion, contraception, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, the new-born period, parenting, and menopause. Furthermore, physical, psychological, social, cultural, and existential perspectives on women's reproductive and sexual health are included in a life cycle, gender and human rights perspective.
Duties
The position is placed within the unit for Diagnostics and care in acute and critical conditions, within Reproductive and perinatal health. The position includes teaching, responsibilities for courses, supervision and examination, clinical examinations mainly within the midwifery programme. if necessary, tasks will be carried out in collaboration with other units at the department.
The duties include planning, teaching, coordinating resources, working for consistency in the courses, keeping up-to-date on current research in the midwifery field as well as being the course manager. The assignment as teacher responsible for the course includes developing and coordinating the learning objectives, learning activities, examination forms and assessment criteria in relation to content, purpose ·and current pedagogical research. It also includes ensuring the quality of the education with validated evaluation forms. Within the position, you will also supervise and examina degree projects at the first cycle level as well as supervise degree projects at advanced level. Administrative tasks related to the educational activities are a significant part of the duties. It also includes actively working for development of the field of study. Other duties may also occur and the content of the employment may change over time.
The position also includes actively contributing to the department's goals and operational plan, which entails working to develop the academic environment within the section's Complete Academic Environment. In addition, it is expected that all employees participate in the planned joint gatherings and activities organized at the department.
The applicant must teach in Swedish and English.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for employing teaching staff are set out in Chapter 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance and in the Appointment Procedure for Teaching Posts at the University of Gothenburg.
Completed university education on at least advanced level in nursing or care pedagogy, demonstrated pedagogical skills, as well as a midwifery license.
Swedish nursing license and midwifery license. Fluent Swedish and English language proficiency in both speech and writing.
