Our Exciting Opportunity
Our unit is responsible for the development of digital radio algorithms for Ericsson's mobile infrastructure radio products. We are involved in all stages of technology development, from research and technical studies to product development.
We are looking for a senior specialist to join us in developing algorithms for the uplink (UL) digital front-end (DFE).
The senior specialist will focus on automatic gain control (AGC), uplink impairment corrections, and the uplink chain in the DFE. Collaboration with other areas such as baseband, passive inter-modulation, analog, mixed signal and their respective specialists is needed to ensure a complete solution perspective and to develop the most efficient end-to-end solution for uplink considering the filtering requirements on the whole chain.
You will
Drive development of competitive algorithms in Ericsson’s uplink DFE solutions in all phases of development through contribution in important forums.
Secure development of effective and scalable multi rate algorithm architectures that minimizes implementation size and gives good power efficiency.
Assess product requirements, as well as costs for product development, maintenance, production and appropriately to identify areas for innovation and prioritize technology development according to business impact.
Contribute to an efficient way of working within the domain, which includes simulator strategies, modelling, power estimates, verification methods etc.
Act as a mentor and help to build competence within the uplink area as well as a strong active team.
To be successful in the role you must have
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
At least 10 years of professional work experience within the field of signal processing used in telecommunication systems and radio technology.
Excellent track record in driving technology evolution.
Good understanding of the major standards and their impact on the uplink e.g. GSM, WCDMA, LTE, NB-IoT, and NR.
Expereince from 3GPP standardization back-office support.
A creative and innovative approach.
Proficient skills in English; both verbal and written.
