At Epidemic Sound we are reinventing the music industry. Our carefully curated catalog, with over 35,000 tracks, is tailored for storytellers, streaming services, and in-store soundtracks. Countless clients around the world, from broadcasters, production companies, DSPs, and YouTubers rely on our tracks to help them tell their stories. Epidemic Sound’s music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. Headquartered in Stockholm, we’re spread across offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Seoul, Hamburg, and Amsterdam. We’re growing fast, have lots of fun, and are taking the music industry with us.
We are looking for a User Researcher with a passion for creating a detailed understanding of our users to play a key role in building the team’s research capabilities. You will be crucial in answering key questions and driving initiatives that help us gain insights and a better understanding of our users to make informed decisions impacting our strategy. You will join the Central Analytics team which is composed of data analysts and researchers that work on tasks core to the company.
How you will make an impact;
As a User Researcher, you will generate insights related to Epidemic Sound’s business, users, potential users and proactively identify opportunities for further research. You will be a key player in supporting the organization to align user and business goals and exploring the interconnectedness of storytellers, music and music creators by employing techniques from the user research discipline.
You will be part of a team of researchers responsible for uncovering and understanding wants, needs and identifying opportunities for Epidemic. Examples of the impact you will make include guiding Epidemic Sound's understanding of users and potential users, helping teams gain more knowledge of how storytellers create their content, the role Epidemic Sound plays in users’ creative process and facilitating decision-making by providing contextual user evidence.
In addition to independently designing, executing and analyzing research, you will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, other Researchers and stakeholders to develop a holistic understanding of current issues, opportunities and possible solutions. Together with the Central Analytics team, you will also work on projects that support cross-business area initiatives.

Other skills we think you bring are;
- Experience in conducting global mixed-methodology User Research
- Deep knowledge of a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in planning, conducting and analyzing research using a broad set of qualitative research methods
- Enjoy providing structure and rigor to solve ambiguous problems
- Excellent ability to communicate research findings and translate that into actionable insights for senior stakeholders
- A passion, curiosity and drive to develop your skillset to grow and learn professionally
- Merit to those with experience from a growing product-focused tech company
- Fluency in English
