What do we offer?
“Confirm Consumer Value” - This is the purpose of Product Validation & Function Architecture, a department within Research and Development at Volvo Car Corporation. The U.S.E.R (User Story & Empathy Research) team is a part of this department, with the purpose to find out and visualize how our Care By Volvo Co-Development users do, want and who they are. We will use the insights from this to further improve our products and services within Research and Development.
Are you passionate about users and analyzing human behaviors, and would like to have an impact on the future of Volvo Cars? Would you like to join the product development within the U.S.E.R team and further enhance the understanding of our consumers when designing our future products? We are now looking for a Team Member in the U.S.E.R team with a mindset to influence, collaborate and team up with our teams. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you’ll do
As a Team Member U.S.E.R., your main responsibilities will be to develop new (and maintain current) methods to use to improve the feedback rate and collaboration with our Co Development users. You will also conduct and lead user research and test activities within our co-development fleet and use a variety of qualitative and a subset of quantitative methods to validate our products and services.
You will be responsible to communicate and visualize user needs and behaviors and facilitate collaboration activities. The job will be conducted in an agile development environment where you will act as an evangelist for user centered design and consumer value. You will throughout the process work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business decisions.
Do you fit the profile?
To fit this position, you are an easy going and open-minded team player. You have a strong passion for our consumers, and one of your drivers is to identify insights and to use these to generate consumer value and subsequently increase their satisfaction.
You have a MSc Degree in a relevant area (design ethnography, industrial design, user experience or equivalent field of study) or equivalent expertise with 3+ years of experience working within user research. It comes natural for you to meet and create trust with consumers, and you are experienced working with user research. You have strong verbal communication skills and are fluent in English (written and spoken). In order to be able to empathize with our consumers and their experiences you have a driver’s license B.
We find it meritorious if you have experience from working within an agile development environment and that you have a strong business acumen.
