Utility Engineer

To deliver on Northvolt’s vision and bold expansion plans we have established the Blueprint team. The team’s mission is to deliver a digital factory blueprint of a scalable, rapidly deployable, highly efficient world-class battery factory. It constitutes a comprehensive solution with guidelines and tools needed for establishment of the factory spanning process, equipment, materials, facility, utilities, and people.
To summarize, Blueprint is a highly strategic but also execution-oriented and cross-functional team which aids Northvolt in our mission to enable the future of energy.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collecting the utility requirements (power, cooling, heating, gases, chemicals, water, etc) of the process and mechanical systems.
Working with process engineers at Northvolt, suppliers, and engineering companies from all around the world to coordinate utility requirements for all equipment for coordination with our construction team.
Developing and maintaining models for energy balance of our processes to validate and challenge utility needs.
Validating utility requirements using basic thermodynamics, industrial engineering best practice, and by liaising with the relevant discipline leads.
Validation of our utility requirements using measured data from our existing factories.
Validation of data quality; including, but not limited to, integrity toward Northvolt's general data model (Functional breakdown structure and Location breakdown structure)
Developing and maintaining data-driven methods and automated tools to automate the processes for managing the data

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:
Bachelors or masters in process, chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
Experience in the design/engineering of industrial, manufacturing, or chemical process facilities.
Exposure to Construction, Supply Base Management, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing
Valuable experience in multicultural environment
Fluency in English
