We are looking for an excellent writer who is also a design thinker and customer champion. You’ll be joining a team whose mission is to empower our entrepreneurial customers – from those just starting out on their business journey to established small business owners looking to grow.
The work will empower this diverse group of merchants to find and manage their customers, request payment smoothly so they can get paid, and not only manage but understand their business. It’s our aim for our customers to feel in control, creating experiences that are smooth and intuitive so that they can focus on their passions.

This role is a good fit if you love using words to tell stories, to solve problems, and bring value to customers.
You’re skilled at working across multiple products and platforms to deliver a coherent, cohesive experience. You know how and when to ask the right questions to drive the design process from discovery to execution.
You’re naturally curious and have a deep need not only to understand products inside-out, but to challenge and question existing experiences to raise the bar.
You're driven to define and solve problems, putting customer needs first.
You’re excited to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment that requires independent self-direction as well as collaboration and open communication.

Your day-to-day

Plan and write UX content for web and mobile experiences (across all touchpoints including navigation and user interface copy, emails, in-app notifications, chatbots, and help).
Collaborate with Design on page layout, interactions, and visual tone.
Use data-driven insights about experience gaps and customer pain points to brainstorm and build proposed experience solutions. Drive the definition of a clear and actionable strategic direction for content in this problem/solution space.
Coordinate and advise content designers on other teams to share context and clarity you’ve gleaned from customer research.
Use data and research to model and evaluate your content’s impact, and push for continuous improvement that shows tangible results.


What you need to bring

4+ years professional writing experience for web or mobile product content.
Excellent writing, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
Experience working with content standards, such as style and voice and tone guidelines.
At ease managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, working individually, and collaborating across teams.
Experience in financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e-commerce is preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, Information Science or related field preferred.
