We build software that enables teams in all kinds of industries to work better, with more flexibility and better optimisation. We develop two main interfaces:
- a portal for managers across different industries (hospitality, healthcare, retail, logistics, etc.) to build the planning of their employees, manage their work agreements and salary information.
- and a mobile app for employees to check their schedule, apply for shifts and holidays and punch their time in the workplace.
About the role
As the Design Lead, you will play the crucial role of building, coaching, and managing a design & UX team. Besides, you will be defining and driving strategic direction from a user experience perspective, designing usable, accessible, and engaging user experiences. You will do this by employing user-centred design methods and collaborating with your colleagues in Engineering and Product. You’ll be joining a fast-paced, innovative environment where everyone is expected to take a hands-on approach.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the overall design direction of Quinyx product by balancing customer needs, business goals and leading a team of designers towards realizing the product vision.
- Taking ownership for all phases of the UX design process throughout a project, involving and engaging key stakeholders in a cross-functional team.
- Inspire & motivate the design team, and help them see how their contributions connect to larger outcomes for both the company and our users.
- Creating new designs, spanning service maps, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes.
- Working closely with colleagues in Product and Engineering teams to ensure you’re building the right experiences for our customers.
- Creating methodologies and procedures needed to support various steps of the product management process, i.e; - Customer discovery
- Product discovery
- Ideation
- Co-creation and ideation
- Developing strategic design plans with projected timelines and budgets.
- Analyzing market research to create more effective designs.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, developing software, and balancing customer expectations, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Proven success leading design teams.
- Experience working cross-functionally, especially with product teams.
- Strong creativity skills and the vision to turn briefs into creative projects.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and able to lead and present design ideas to stakeholders of all levels.
- Experience working with tools such as Figma, Sketch or InVision.
- Experience with UX Research methodologies (e.g. personas versus segments, journey mapping versus use cases, quantitative versus qualitative).
- Experience working with HTML/CSS or have a basic understanding of web development technologies.
