UX Design - Nasdaq Summer Internship 2023

Nasdaq's Internship Program provides outstanding opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience during a 10-week summer internship (2023). We believe in learning by doing, that’s why o ur Interns work on real-world projects and tasks that impact our business, together with Nasdaq employees and senior colleagues worldwide. You will acquire new skills and experiences which you can share with other interns across our Global intern community. We strive for a diverse and fun workplace, where all of us feel like the work we do makes a difference.
Nasdaq will invest in your development, introducing you to senior leaders, offering you a mentor and participating in professional development activities. Career acceleration is core to Nasdaq's culture; our intention is to offer our interns opportunities to stay on beyond the summer, either in a part time role parallel to your studies or for your master thesis fellowship. All of Intern roles are paid roles.
As a UX intern you will be working on initiatives to help improve the user experience in our products, ranging from translating user needs into wireframes, to creating UX guidelines and evaluating UI components/flows from a UX perspective.
What you will bring:
Studying a program within UX design, Interaction Technology and design, Computer Design or similar, graduating 2024.
Experience working with Figma (or equivalent prototyping tools)
Curiosity and interest in capital markets, business intelligence, and financial technology, paired with strong analytical/problem solving skills
Ability to engage and collaborate closely with your team and other stakeholders
Contribution to our Nasdaq culture and values
It would be great if you have:
Some programming skills or scripting languages, e.g., JavaScript or HTML
Working experience within the UX design field

This role is located at our modern Umeå office right in the city center at Utopia, which makes it close to all kinds of restaurants and gym. At this location, over 100 employees across different teams work together building and developing Nasdaq's core tech.
About the process
Our recruitment process is continuous, so please submit your resumé in English as soon as possible. The final application date is December 4 th and we hope to extend offers before Christmas.
Interviews will be hosted by 2-3 Nasdaq employees and be conducted digitally via Zoom. If the role has technical demands you may be asked to participate in a digital coding assignment prior to the interview.
