Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.As we move through the paradigm shift of electrification, autonomous and connected vehicles create the need to accelerate our capabilities within state of the art powertrain integration with autonomous systems and offboard applications. To do this we have created the value stream Efficient Transport Functions (ETF).

Our mission is to help our customers reach their destination in the most efficient way, simply put you will help our customers maximize the value of the energy stored in the vehicle. We would like you as a UX Designer to be an integral part of ETF and belong to the line organization that today focus on value flow management and consist of other leading roles, e.g. architect and release train engineer.
Your assignment
Your primary purpose and responsibility is to lead the area of UX in our value stream. Together with the development teams discover, define, develop and deliver the right user experience of our features and solutions. We foresee that you from day one is instrumental in our value flow and software development by discovering and defining user needs for new complex, strategic functions and features we are developing for digital, electrified vehicles.
Your profile
• You like and are used to being a strong voice for the user in a software or embedded software setting.
• You have experience (3-5 years) in gathering user data through user interviews, analytics or research studies. To thrive in this environment we think that you have strong abilities to independently plan, perform and consolidate your research and insights.
• You effectively communicate with developers and management alike on UX, user need insights and designs.
• You are creative with wireframes, mocks, prototypes and similar to drive the development forward, helping the VCT understand the user needs on a deeper level.
• You are used to working with Figma, customer journeys, user stories, personas and other tools and methods that support you in your design work.
• You collaborate creatively with other UX Designers and Service Designers across the company on UX related tasks and customer problems we aim to solve for.
• You enjoy user interviews and feedback sessions, defining usability and the relevant methods of testing, defining and facilitating the shared development, shaping designs according to your researched insights.
• You enjoy being the leading, go to person on the user needs connected to our features and solutions in the design community across the company.
