UX Designer to Scania

Arbetsbeskrivning

Do you want to build Scania’s future of digital services? The combination of digitalization, electrification and connected vehicles will be a key to unlock future success for our customers, and that’s why we’re investing in our people and our technology like never before!

The world of transport and logistics is rapidly transforming into a sustainable ecosystem and at Scania we are facing the biggest shift in our history. To support this we have our fast-growing Service Portfolio and Delivery organization, which comprises 200+ people in Södertälje. Our target is to take a leading role by introducing new tailor-made services and sustainable transport solutions. This transformation will change the way we do business and interact with our customers, and we ensure they stay ahead of their game.

Do you have a passion for UX and creating services that stand out and make a difference? Our Customer Experience Design team within the Service Portfolio & Delivery department is now looking for a UX Designer, with main responsibility to make sure that our global digital services provide the best support to our customers and partners throughout the transformation.

WE OFFER

We offer you a cross-disciplinary design team of dedicated and open-minded designers who always cheer you on and support you. We have a design community across Scania with knowledge sharing and design inspiration sessions and events, so we create a learning culture and dare to try new things and manages the risks. We are a global organization who has an agile workflow to meet our customers’ expectations.

YOU WILL

At Scania we are driving the shift to a more sustainable transport solution. As our UX designer you will solve complex problems related to interactions, usability and interfaces across platform and devices. You will be involved throughout the design process, from user insights over concepts and prototypes to designs, and will be working with Double Diamond methodologies. We strongly believe that design is a collaborative effort. Therefore, involving the end-users and working closely with our developers are both required to optimize the user experience. Further you will:

- create elegant wireframes, user flows, sitemaps, storyboards, prototypes and UI
- conduct user testing and continuously refine the design and features to ensure user needs and goals are met
- plan and facilitate workshops to align stakeholders or co-create and collaborate with customers and markets over the whole world
- create compelling design work and communicate to stakeholders
- share knowledge on design methods, tools and trends with your fellow colleagues

YOU ARE

We're looking for a UX designer with knowledge and understanding of the user experience process, both from the user perspective and as a designer. You are a passionate designer with at least 2+ years of experience within UX and have good communications skills in written and spoken English. You love backing your design with research and testing to ensure the best possible design. As a person you are creative, curious, and enthusiastic. You bring energy to the teams you work with, and you are proactive and structured in your approach to problem-solving. Further, you can zoom out to see the big picture and then dive in to set the important details and approach things systematically.
