The role and responsibilities:
As an UX Director you will, together with you team, bring user-centered design process into the entire production cycle, from research to detailed design and through the development phase. You will be involved in setting UX best practices and guidelines across all Tobii products. You will collaborate closely with other departments that contribute to product success.
Your days will be filled with:
- Leading 5-8 highly skilled UX designers and a 3-4 members of a UI design team.
- Leading, communicating, and champion UX inside and outside team.
- Be responsible for recruitment, personal development, one-on-ones, everything that make your employees thrive.
- Engage in the creative process of product development, make sure we have an innovative environment and are structured such that ideas can be realized.
- Be responsible for departmental budgeting, project planning and resource allocation.
- Establish consistency across all products and support the Tobii brand.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has had a director role before or have been a manager and now want to take it to the next level.
- Has a passion for creating an energetic fun environment where people can thrive and can achieve their full potential.
- Has a solid background in visual design and interaction design.
- Is a good collaborator and also has necessary decision making skills for management needs.
- Master degree or equivalent experience, specializing in design related area.
