The role
The UX Research Operations role is an integral part of the Research Function within the Verisure Global Design Team. Reporting to the UX Research Manager the role will be based in our R&D centre in Malmö, Sweden with some European travel required.
The UX Research Operations role will work closely with a wide cross-functional team that help defines user problems to solve, evaluates new concepts, improves our existing products, and validates design solutions.
The role will work across a wide range of product and service experiences incorporating both physical and digital touchpoints for the purpose of enhancing Verisure’s end to end user experiences.
The role requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, passion, and a team player attitude that thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The UX Research Operations role works with a degree of independence and is responsible for the overall operations surrounding the UX Research Teams ability to define, plan, execute, analyse, and deliver on any given research programme.
The role will work closely with the UX Research Manager to enable the overall team of researchers to build robust insight and knowledge in supporting the overall Design Teams goal of delivering world-class experiences for our customers, markets, installers, and businesses. This role will develop, maintain, and optimize processes that enable research activities and knowledge share. Set user research in motion through people, tools, and strategies. Supports researchers in planning, conducting, and applying quality user research.
The role will liaise with many functional process partners inside and outside of the Verisure organization including but not limited to the Global Design Team, Proposition Management, Legal, Procurement, Design Operations, R&D, IT, Country Markets, and External Vendors.
Main Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include supporting the UX Research Team in all aspects of User Experience Research. Key tasks include but are not limited to:
Participant Management
Support participant recruitment and management. Develop new recruiting channels (internal, external and across our various geographies), mechanisms, and best practices; track respondent panel composition and recommend strategic recruits based on upcoming projects or gaps identified.
* Facilitate increasing demand for coordinating and scheduling customer research sessions.
* Consistently research and explore ways to recruit participants
* Maintain the database of research participant sources
* Build relationships with our markets to establish go-to opportunities for recruitment
* Manage respondent incentives and process for incentivising respondents
* Establish a network of external vendors for recruitment in our key geographies
* Apply GPDR practices in agreement with our legal department
Research Logistics
Support the Research Team in all aspects of research logistics. From planning and scheduling work assignments and testing sessions to communicating with respondents, supporting team members, and detailing travel, timings, locations, and any other aspects necessary for the research team to work effectively and efficiently.
* Work with the research team to Plan research sessions in line with the overall Design Operations plan
* Manage, communicate, and update schedules for all those involved in any given research assignment
* Communicate with all relevant stakeholders on research specific logistics
* Manage and coordinate any travel logistics and location details for any given assignment.
Governance & Compliance
The Research Operations role supports research that is safe, legal, and ethical by following processes and guidelines for consent, privacy, and asset/information storage. The role is responsible for ensuring policies and process remain up to date with our legal teams and that established process are followed.
* Ensure research ethics are understood and upheld by individual researchers across studies
* Consult with legal and compliance on incentives and honorariums.
* Hold quarterly reviews with the legal team to ensure that GPDR & DPA processes and protocols remain up to date
* Liaise with our internal Procurement team when establishing relationships with new vendors and suppliers
* Liaise with external vendors to ensure that any outsourced or support research is conducted according to our legal and ethical obligations.
* Standardize supporting documentation (e.g., scripts, templates, and consent forms) to save time and enable consistent application
Tools
Ensure that the research team has and maintains the necessary tools to complete their assignments. Support the strategic procurement and management of tools and platforms to increase efficiency and scale research.
* Research and advocate new research tools as needed
* Serve as a liaison with vendors
* Ensure Digital Tools comply with our IT, Security and GDPR protocols
* Manage and maintain a Physical Devices Database for any and all essential equipment need
Knowledge Management
Help manage the processes and platforms for collecting, interpreting, and sharing research insights.
* Manage user-research insights and make data accessible throughout the team and the organization
* Maintain the database of research data, tracking and ensuring consistent keyword with researchers
* If necessary, participate in research sessions by fielding, assisting the moderator as directed
* Label interview notes for documentation in collaboration with researchers when necessary
