We are now seeking a UX Researcher to join the Retail Systems team within the UX Organization in our offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm, or Lund (international applications are welcome with relocation to Gothenburg).

What you'll do
In a new role on a new team, the UX Researcher on the Retail Systems team will redefine what it means to support customers in their ownership experience of cars, automotive services, and mobility products. You'll be part of guiding user experience in collaboration with stakeholders in operations, product, and engineering.

You'll help the team (designers, content strategists, and other researchers) see the entire landscape of Volvo retail and create full-lifecycle experiences for customers that are simple, seamless, and thoughtful. You’ll also help understand the needs and workflows of customer-facing employees who work to support Volvo consumers across numerous retail and digital touchpoints.

You'll increase long-term customer engagement and customer satisfaction and retention by working to create a new suite of tools and customer and employee products focused on direct-to-consumer model, new forms of retail, and mobility solutions that complement the traditional model of individual car ownership. You'll advocate for both the customer and retail and customer care employees through focus on well-considered design with a high level of craft and exceptional service design.



Location
Volvo Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden (Candidates already located in Stockholm or Lund can be based in our local offices there). (International Candidates are welcome! We have a team that helps with relocation, but remote work is not an option).

Who you are
We believe that you are a person who thinks big at the system level and has worked extensively to uncover user needs through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, craft points of view, and communicate insights to design and product teams. You have experience relevant to Volvo customers via automotive work or other customer-focused retail industries like luxury consumer goods, travel and hospitality, on-demand services, or other relevant fields in which customers are equally interacting with a brand through both online channels and brick-and-mortar stores and face-to-face conversations. You will continue to deepen their relationship with the brand post-purchase through various engagement journeys around the globe.

We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities:


* You are an experienced researcher who has previously conducted research for digital products and has a strong understanding of how qualitative and quantitative research can guide interaction design and visual design.
* You define, plan, and conduct user research; surveys, interviews, usability testing, A/B testing. Analyse collected user data; thematic analysis, affinity mapping, and statistical analysis. You deliver insights to product and design teams.
* You possess the ability to communicate research findings, and think across the customer journey, and bring an array of design research strategies to the team.
* You are a strong collaborator who can work with not only design partners, but may other stakeholders from marketing to engineering.
