Arbetsbeskrivning
Not long ago, the Allen key was the symbol of tech at IKEA. Today, technology is part of everything we do. It’s part of how we design, produce, distribute, sell, market... But wherever it is and whatever is does, it always starts with people. Smart and ambitions co-workers rooted in a dream to create a better, and more user-friendly, everyday life at home for the many people. Look closer and you’ll see that we have more in common with start-ups than traditional companies.
Curiosity and empathy. That’s basically all you need to be a great UX designer at IKEA. Of course, you need technical skills as well but the most important part of the job is a genuine interest in our co-workers needs. And the clearer and more realistic you can share your insights, the better. Maybe you have done a UX journey map or two, maybe you might know what Figma is? If we may keep on wishing, could you please also be structured, pragmatic and creative? You know, always well-prepared, always looking for solutions and not afraid explore crazy ideas. If this is you, welcome to IKEA. We really need you and long for you!
Of course, you are not in this alone. Working and creating together is deeply rooted in IKEAs culture, so it is important that you value and easily build trustful relationships. The team you will be part of, at Range & Product Development, is in the middle of changing the entire product information model. By transforming our data model into new shapes and digital tools, you help us deliver better products for the many people and create an awesome everyday life for our many co-workers.
At IKEA we believe that we’re better when we’re physically together for collaboration, dialogues, and conversations. We believe in the power of human interactions; the informal chats, the energy, belonging, and creativity generated by people being in the same place. Our approach is that we spend most of our time in the IKEA workplace and with flexibility to work from home when relevant. This particular role is based in Älmhult.
If you are interested in this position, submit your application as soon as possible, however not later than the 2nd of June. Please note that we will be interviewing continuously, which means that we may close the application process earlier than stated if we find the right candidate.
