Detectify was born from the simple idea that the internet is broken. Our founders are among the best ethical hackers in the world. They have found critical vulnerabilities at tech giants like Google, Facebook, and Dropbox and used their hacker knowledge to build an advanced web application security scanner that is used by companies such as Spotify, Trello, and King.
We also collaborate with a global network of handpicked white-hat hackers, who continuously provide us with valuable security research. Our crowd-based security program allows us to bring in the best independent security researchers in the world and automate their findings into our tool.
What our Product Design team does
Our Product Design team works as a centralized entity where UX designers, UI designers and researchers collaborate to create compelling experiences and to keep our design consistent across all our products. This team is the bridge between the users needs and our company goal of making the Internet a more secure place.
The team also plays a key role in laying the foundation of the design culture at Detectify. They are full-stack designers, owning all aspects of their work from customer insights, idea exploration, concept prototyping, design polish, and engineering hand-off. The Product Design team is agile and accountable, and implements smart solutions that are usable, consistent, and delightful.
What you will get to do
As the first UX writer in our Product Design team, you will be responsible for delivering the messaging of our product from the inside out and lead a content strategy in line with our design principles.
You will:
Create, maintain, and own the tone of voice guidelines for UI copy across products and personas.
Contribute to product features with compelling copy on complex user flows, contextual help, and informational text.
Partner with Product Designers and Engineers to elevate design solutions with engaging content.
Partner with Design Researchers in formative research and evaluate understanding of product terminology with end users.
Contribute to critique and design reviews to maintain quality and consistency of the user experience.
Level-up the content strategy and writing skills of the team through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Who you are
You might already have experience as a UX Writer or you have experience creating other types of explanatory copy for technical products, for example as a technical journalist. No matter what title you’ve previously held, we are looking for:
A showcase of work that exhibits your abilities to craft clear, compelling, and informative in-product content.
Strategic thinking about how content is an integral part of design systems.
Investigative mindset and ability to extract technical knowledge from experts
Ability to simplify or break down complex technical solutions into easy-to-follow concepts and copy
Understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and design research methodologies.
Strong desire to collaborate with cross-discipline teams and learn from others.
Ability to simultaneously support multiple teams and products.
High proficiency in both colloquial and business English.
Knowledge of web security is a plus but not a requirement.
