Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania’s success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements. IT at Scania is transforming into a more flow-oriented way of working, where agile methods and highly performing development teams are key components.
About us
Service Planning provides Scania customers with a tool to smoothly plan, book and keep track of maintenance and repair work for all their equipment, with or without Scania maintenance plan.
For our future challenges, we are now looking for one more UX/UI Designer to join our team! Could that person be you? Great! Keep on reading!
Your responsibilities
As a UX/UI Designer for our innovative project, you'll play a key role in improving our user experiences and outcomes. Our users are at the center of everything we do, and you'll be their advocate throughout the design process - from defining their needs to designing the interface and acting on their feedback.
Our product is a browser-based responsive dashboard used by users around the world. You'll work to ensure that our product meets and exceeds user expectations.
You'll be part of an agile team of competent developers and have a close collaboration with our PO. You will also be part of other UX/UI forum. The team is constantly learning and exploring new tools and techniques to deliver high-quality design solutions.
We hope you have the following mindset and competence
As a person, you are curious to learn new techniques and skills. You have a positive attitude and like to cooperate with your team, but can also work independently when required. You have the ability to take responsibility for the application, be structured in your work, and focus on quality. You also enjoy working in an agile team and you really understand the meaning of the Agile Manifesto.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
• Previous experience in digital design and know all facets of the design process, and connecting the dots between business needs, innovation and good user-centered design practices.
• A portfolio that demonstrates your skills as a hands-on interaction/visual designer of a UX/UI team through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile, and/or software applications.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education within the design area.
• Fluent skills in written and spoken English.
Benefits
Scania offers permanent employment from day one. No try-out period. We believe in recruiting the right people in the right way. And giving them the prerequisites they need to succeed.
We have a flexible office policy. This, in practice, means that you can work from home, from our brand new office in Stockholm City, with our agency in Stockholm City, or from the headquarters in Södertälje. Or all of them. But, we also believe that no person is an island. Therefore we meet at least once per week - in one of the places mentioned - to work together and help each other out. Or just have a proper fika session!
Other than this, you get a number of big corporation goodies, like:
• Pension
• Insurances
• Wellness allowance
• Continuous learning
• Etc etc etc
We also want to mention Scania's values, summarized in something called the Scania Way. They are amazing - because they are also used. And we can probably talk your ears off about them when we meet, so beware!
Other information and application
Please apply through the portal below with your resume and motivational letter as soon as possible, but no later than 10/6. Selection and interview will be going on through out the hole application period. With your application, we would like to see work from your portfolio as well.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Sanna Samuelsson, Hiring Manager, sanna.samuelsson@scania.com or Ellen Björck, Talent Acquisition Specialist, ellen.bjorck@scania.com.
