The Value Stream Leader (VSL) provides leadership and support for the implementation, development and direction of production teams and department. The position implements actions to improve product and process quality, as well as accelerating and supporting cultural change efforts aimed at achieving organizational goals. In addition, the position will provide technical leadership for the production team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate and influence across the team on strategic plans, projects and initiatives, and defines organizational plans to determine processes and procedures for execution
Leading cross-functional projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification
Initiating/executing sustainable process improvements to exceed customer expectations while using lean strategies to drive continuous process improvement
Track and report metrics in their functional area to include labor hour consumption, work order completion, inventory accuracy, throughput, capacity and customer complaints
Establish team goals that meet or exceed established quality standards
Develop and manage operational budget for their functional area
Monitoring and improving productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner
Developing and creating training plans to maximize workforce capability
Leading Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
Driving Lean manufacturing implementation, including facilitating value stream mapping activities to drive business results
Ensuring regulatory compliance through validation and verification, and may be responsible for determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance
Provide critical manufacturability feedback to new product teams to ensure future products meet business financial commitments
Support materials set-up and availability for new product introductions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and five years production, supply chain experience or leadership or High School diploma/GED and 10 years production or supply chain experience
Desired Characteristics
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices
Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
Prior team leadership experience
Six Sigma certification
