VAT Accountant

SKF are establishing a Finance Shared service center organization supporting all SKF units globally. We have an exciting future ahead of us towards a clear Finance strategy road map. Finance will have a powerful role related to a lean, efficient and digital environment, and we are aiming to be in the frontline of next generation Business Finance.

The Finance Operations Function at SKF in Sweden includes Record to Report, Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Central Controlling covering region North EMEA.
We are now looking for an VAT Accountant to join our Record to Report team where you will be our expert within this field. Are you an experienced accountant? VAT Accountant




At Record to Report, we are currently providing the accounting for most of the SKF companies in Sweden. Within the near future the scope will increase with responsibility for other countries in the North EMEA region. Our team consists of Chief Accountants, accountants and experts in specific processes. We are working in many different systems, but the main companies use SAP.


We have an exciting future ahead of us, with an updated finance strategy. Finance will a have powerful role in the digital environment, and we want to be in the frontline of the next generation Business Finance. We have Business excellence as a working tool, and we have started the journey for the Global finance.


Your day-to-day work
• Manage and execute accounting activities with high quality
• Responsible for VAT, Intrastat for many of SKF companies and for countries where SKF is VAT registered
• Secure proper VAT returns, duty rate
• Support business with VAT questions
• Secure proper payments and accounting of taxes
• Main contact towards authorities and outsourced partners
• Drive and coordinate reporting improvements and use SKF Business excellence as the tool to reach our future goals
• Ensure compliance from a legal and corporate governance perspective
• Monitor and conduct the GL account reconciliations


We expect you to
Be an experienced VAT Accountant with a University Degree in Business Administration or Accounting. You also have prior experience from working in SAP. We need for you to be fluent in writing and speaking both Swedish and English. Other languages are for sure a benefit since you will be working with other tax authorities and counties.

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract in SKF Sverige AB.
Record to Report consists of 25 members today. All have long experience in accounting and we really support each other as a team.
