WE ARE DICE
DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise, and the very creative game Mirror's Edge.

As such, we are dedicated to providing everyone the chance to express themselves and be their very best with a common cause.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Vegetation Artist you will help us push the quality of the art in our worlds to the next level, with a focus on in-game vegetation. Aside from daily tasks you will also share your experience with the team and be a role model for junior developers around you. On a daily basis you will report to the Lead Artist and Project Manager in your team, meeting to review work and discuss progress about project deliveries. On a higher level you will also work with your Manager and other Directors to help push the discipline forward and create a stronger, happier and more versatile team. In other words, we are looking for someone who can look beyond their art, who wants to help improve their domain, their team and their project(s) overall, and be a positive influence on their peers.
You will also:
Create benchmark assets to visual and technical targets within the vegetation art domain.
Create new workflows and documented processes for vegetation art.
Work with leads and project managers to prioritize backlog and set budgets, scope and deadlines.
Identify and break down complex problems, determining the approach based on dependencies and project needs.
Delegate work, provide feedback and guide lesser experienced artists and external partners.
Verify visual and technical quality of work and make suggestions for improvements where necessary.
Assemble and organize reference material for self and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are an experienced artist, probably with a couple of shipped games under your belt, and you know that seniority doesn't come from just producing things quickly, but more importantly being a role model for others and embodying collaboration, communication and teaching.
You also have:
5+ years of experience in the video games industry or other relevant industries.
Technical and visual skills in the creation of high-end vegetation art.
Experience establishing techniques, processes and workflows for vegetation assets.
Experience using Houdini, Substance Designer or other procedurally-based DCCs.
Experience working with capturing raw data using photogrammetry.
Experience working with external development teams.
