Vehicle Circuit Diagram Engineer
The main purpose of this position is to take responsible for the development of the overall vehicle circuit diagram. The vehicle circuit diagram contains all electrical apparatuses in the vehicle and shows how those are integrated in both the vehicle and to each other. The vehicle circuit diagram serves as input for other integration areas like vehicle cabling and electrical cabinets and cubicles. It is also used for maintenance, service and training later in the project's life cycle. Apart from electrically visualizing all equipment in the vehicle the circuit diagram also includes the safety critical and safety related function circuits like the traction/brake safety loop, door interlocking loop, etc. that need to be realized in conventional relay logic (instead of in software of the control system).
The major objective of this position is to design the vehicle circuit diagram and supporting documentation and to verify that they are correct during the project's life cycle.
Key responsibilities are:
-Participate in the design and realization of the train operation functions together with the functional and electrical integrators, project engineers and system engineers.
- Establish the functional requirements on the electrical apparatuses and components that are required for realization of the train operation functions. To these functions belong e.g. traction safe loop, security brake loop and door interlocking loop. Design and production of the vehicle circuit diagram and supporting documents like the various Engineering Specification (ES)
- Participate in regular design reviews during the project design phases; both internally with other engineering disciplines and externally with customers and other stakeholders
- Take responsibility for development of own competence and the technical area including the process, the E-CAD system used and other tools.
- Design of overall vehicle circuit diagrams (main circuits) to be provided in Tender documentation
Education required : Engineering degree or with 2-3 years of working experience from the intended area of occupation.
Number of years of experience required : 2-3
We expect you to have a good ability to collect and contribute to the overall (vehicle) design, be structured and have a good sense for details.
You must have a good ability to and experience of work in big projects and have an ability to communicate clearly in the interface to many project members.
It is important to be open for changes and further development of the design area; e.g. to take part in the introduction of a new E-CAD system (E3) that will happen in near future.
Computer skills required : E-CAD system (AutoCad ElMaster (legacy tool), E3 (new tool), MS Office)
