Mission
A Vehicle Fleet Engineer is responsible to secure maximum utilization of test vehicles through close contact with project management, test departments and the products.
What will you do?
In the role of Vehicle Fleet Engineer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of our truck fleet from the moment they're deployed to their eventual retirement. Your duties revolve around becoming an expert in our products and projects, while also being an effective communicator and supportive team member.
Your tasks include leading efforts to maintain the uptime of our fleet, both during regular operations and critical testing phases. You'll serve as the first line of support for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise, especially during crucial testing periods. When unexpected stops occur during verification and validation, you'll coordinate maintenance logistics to quickly address these challenges and get the tests back on track. Additionally, you'll be responsible for streamlining work orders to enhance efficiency in maintaining uptime and assisting in logistical operations to ensure smooth execution of testing plans. As a proactive member of the team, you'll spearhead the development of innovative solutions to improve fleet uptime and continuously drive improvements in team processes. Regular participation in project meetings will keep you aligned with ongoing developments and ensure effective coordination with other stakeholders. You're entrusted with the authority to safeguard and maximize uptime throughout the fleet.
Who are you?
Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and demonstrate proficiency in managing processes across the solution lifecycle. Preferential knowledge of Volvo and Renault products is beneficial. Strong communication skills, with a focus on effective follow-up, are essential, along with a proven track record of delivering results on time. A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team environment are also key. Quick problem-solving skills are crucial, and possession of a C/CE driving license is considered advantageous.
