Vehicle Geometry Architect for weight and dimensions

Position description
You have now the opportunity to be part of our team to support product updates already from the early studies to implementation.
We need a team member that can support the product updates by providing dimensional criteria’s based on boundaries and legal requirements as well as weight targets and follow up of these targets.
This means cross functional work with mainly engineers and geometrical architects to give them right pre-requisites for their work in product updates.


Job description and responsibility
Dimension architect:

You will support product updates, geometrical architects, and engineers by providing geometrical boundaries.
This will require interaction with our certification department to discuss how legal demands are interpreted and how we should apply them. The geometrical boundaries are also based on our knowledge of truck usage. You will also support Engineers to document in EDB.
Some experience in Creo view and PDM link is needed and knowledge about other Volvo unique systems such as KOLA, EDB, WIS is a plus.
Weight Architect:

As a weight architect you will focus in Load Capacity calculations to support our change initiatives to optimize payload. You will also be involved in target setting and follow up of weight status in product updates.
You will support Performance leader for weight to collect data for performance reviews.
Involvement in competitor analysis to understand payload status on our products vs competition.
You will lead and drive the global weight architect network
Knowledge how to navigate in the Volvo unique systems such as KOLA, EDB, WIS is a merit.

Goal oriented and communication skills is needed to get the job done.
