SingSing Karaoke is looking for a venue manager who is passionate about food, drinks, karaoke and people!

Duties

The venue manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring the quality of operations and staff and thereby the quality of the service provided to guests. The venue manager is part of the restaurant's management team. The position entails 75% in operations, work on evenings and weekends and 25% is administration. Among other things, the venue manager is responsible for:

- Ensuring that procedures and policies are followed in accordance with the Support Office instructions

- Communicating the Board's vision and actively working towards these goals

- Providing regular reports to the immediate manager

- Ensuring that information from the Board/ Support Office is routinely passed on to the staff

- Ensuring that the venue stays within budget

- Continuously compiling requested reports to the accounting firm

- Being the accounting firm's contact for the restaurant and for procedures regarding supplier and customer invoicing

- Ensuring that all deadlines are met

- Ensuring that all staff clock in/fill in staff ledgers from the tax agency, writing staff reports to the payroll office, certifying staff timesheets, and making notes about overtime, sick leave, etc.

- Ensuring annual performance and salary reviews

- Staff development through continuous training

- Holding weekly steering group meetings where the venue manager is chairman and convener

- Ensuring that staff meetings are held quarterly

- Recruitment of new staff

- Ensuring that day-to-day maintenance work in the premises is performed according to routine

- Preparing the restaurant’s marketing plan in November for the coming year, and updating it continuously

- Developing and implementing strategies for driving additional sales

- Compliance of the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations

- Compliance with Swedish alcohol legislation, specified as service manager on the restaurant’s alcohol license

- Leading and participating in the day-to-day work in operations in accordance with the Shift Leader job description

- Always ensuring that operations deliver a top-notch guest experience

Qualifications

This is what we are looking for:

A self-motivated, solution-oriented and communicative leader with responsibility for all aspects of the venue, such as personnel, budget, operations, contact with authorities, etc. You must be good at leading and motivating teams and have experience from similar positions of responsibility in the restaurant industry. A big plus if you like singing, dancing and musicals, and have experience in that industry.
