The team has many opportunities within function development, which can be developed through advanced engineering and research projects.
In our daily work, we are working agile (according to SAFe) with 12 weeks of program increments. The team is part of the agile release train (ART) - Body Control & Road Contact.
The tyre monitoring team focus on tyre monitoring technologies such as TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) and other Advanced Engineering related functions. The team members work in close collaboration with other teams and suppliers to make sure that the tyre monitoring technologies are implemented according to Volvo Cars requirements.
What you´ll do
As Verification and Validation Engineer you will function as a tester for Tyre Monitoring technologies. Your main responsibilities will be to perform development testing. Testing will be performed in different environments, such as bench testing and HIL testing as well as integration tests in complete vehicles. You will be part of a team that share the work and develop their skills together to become stronger as individuals and as a team. The team is cross-functional, and you will be working in an Agile WoW contributing to the priorities on team’s backlog. You are interested in widening your competence as well as deepen your skills to best contribute to the team’s deliveries. You enjoy working in a team, where good communication, inner drive, and the willingness are important aspects.
You and your profile
We see that you have an agile mindset and a strong drive to develop excellent quality of products. You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Systems, Control and Mechatronics, SW Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience.
Furthermore, you have experience from the automotive industry as well as knowledge and experience on test and product strategy- in how to create and drive roadmaps, vision and steps to get there. It is also important that you have knowledge in embedded software development, such as knowledge about Software Design and System Design. Exceptional Problem solving and analytical skills are also important qualifications.
Below bullet points are required qualifications for the position
• Experience in base tech areas such as Diagnostics, SWDL,CarConfig,DLT logging, Autosar, protocol(CAN/CAN FD, FlexRay, Some/IP), Network Management, UDS,
• Test Analysis, Test Design, Test Implementation and Test Execution
• Understanding of Continuous Integration
• Knowledge about GIT, Gerrit, Zuul
• Knowledge about CANoe/CANalyzer/CAPL
• Knowledge about Python and C++
• Handling Requirements and Requirements Management, good to have CarWeaver knowledge.
• Knowledge on compiling useful information to make workable solutions.
• Knowledge of diagnostics and fault tracing/fault analysis
Must have
• C++ on Linux/QNX, you are also well familiar with how to design software in general.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development of embedded critical systems
• Vector Tools: CANOE, VTestStudio, CANalyzer
• Robot Framework, Python
• Linux CLI proficiency, Shell Scripting,
• Liaise with the HIL system engineers, and diagnostic engineers to develop test cases.
• Reviewing the SW code base
• Handling infrastructure licenses
• A valid Swedish car driving license (B)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English
Good to have
• Volvo cars internal tools and process knowledge
• Cybersecurity concept knowledge, Performing Threat analysis (TARA), Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Mitigation, Network routing.
• SW configuration management and Release planning knowledge
• Data analytics in systems like Power BI
• ISTQB Certification Knowledge and experience of working with system safety, ISO 26262 "Road vehicles – Functional safety"
• Deploying automated tests to Continuous Integration (CI) tool chain
• Experience of SWDL tools such as DSA and SWUT
