Verification Engineer for Function- & SW verification @Electromobility

Within the Electromobility department we work with design and development of electromobility systems and components such as energy storage, motor drives and charging solutions for Volvo group products. Electromobility is an important technology area with strong contribution in reducing the CO2 emissions in our society.
We are currently looking for persons within Function verification.


Position Description
Electrical vehicle development is growing very rapidly and is creating exciting opportunities for us within Product Development. To meet the future demands we have very high focus on developing new ways of testing and verifying in the most efficient way.
We are responsible for verifying the electromobility SW end-to-end functions but also other functions within the electromobility area. This is done in very close co-operation with software & hardware development but also with the other related functions such as aftermarket and production.
As a verification engineer in our team, you will plan, prioritize and coordinate the work with your colleagues in the team. The requirements are reviewed together with the development teams and at that point you also start to look into the test cases. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the test cases and also to find the best suitable way of testing each part. The testing is done in different types of rigs, like system rigs and HIL, and also in vehicles depending on the function. As a team member, you will also contribute to the long term test strategy of the team and always strive for improvements in the rigs, tools and processes used.


Who are you?
We are searching for persons who are passionate about both electromobility and verification. Knowledge and experience within integration testing and software verification is required and you are someone who can drive the development of new test methods even further.

Furthermore, you have great communication skills and are a team player. You are a person who is always looking for improvements in our way of working. Qualifications:
Bachelor- or Master of Science in Mechatronics, Physics, Electrical or equivalent
Solid experience of functional-, electronics and/or driveline verification both in vehicle and HIL.
Automotive experience and preferably from Electromobility
Hands on experience with measurement tools such as Canalyzer and analogue measurements.
Experience from testing in system rigs and HIL.
B-Driver’s license (minimum)
